I was living in Miami at the time and wanted to get rid of my gut. I went on the South Beach Diet (religiously) and honestly lost over 10 lbs in just 2 weeks. I quit the diet when I got to 165 (truth is, I should've stopped at 175). It's 4 years later and I'm now at a comfortable 180. If I want to lose weight, I just cut out the sugars and carbs for a week or so. I know now what not to eat but I love chocolate, ice cream and beer but not all at once. Good luck. Hey Tommy-Joe
